The church of Santa Maria de Teuladells (Segarra), has been documented since the year 1180. In 1248, a small monastery of Augustinian nuns was established there, with the permission of Ponç de Vilamur, bishop of Urgell, and the support of the chapter of Santa Maria de Guissona. The first prioress of the convent was Gueraua de Coscó. The monastic life of this community was relatively brief: by 1423, the monastery had already been dissolved, and its assets had been incorporated into the canonical chapter of Guissona.
The ruins of the former Romanesque church are still preserved. It was a single-nave building, with an apse facing east and two small apses set within the thickness of the lateral walls, to the north and south. There was originally a portal on the west side, now sealed.
