Convent of the Cordeliers of Forcalquier
Franciscans of Forcalquier
(Forcalquier, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence)
The Franciscans established themselves in Forcalquier thanks to the support of Count Ramon Berenguer V of Provence, who died in 1245, so the foundation of the convent must be dated before that year. Despite having suffered the effects of the Wars of Religion, they were able to maintain activity until the Revolution. Some conventual structures around the former cloister are still preserved today.
